EMPOWERING YOUTH POTENTIAL – EYP

The project has the following specific objectives:

1. To collect and develop methods and materials which have shown to be useful in order to strengthen young people entrepreneurial skills.

2. To collect and develop (among other things through best practices studies in the participating countries) ideas about how entrepreneurship skills can increase the possibilities for people belonging to disadvantaged groups of starting their own small businesses.

3. Identify and transfer best practices and strategies to promote entrepreneurship in Europe;

4. Generate new knowledge on emerging trends and prospects for Employability and Entrepreneurship at the European level ;

5. Establish the entity link the fields of entrepreneurship and local companies, as well as with universities ;

6. To develop a virtual kit on young entrepreneurial skills at European level;

7. Organization of a Final conference by young people themselves;

8. Enhancement of entrepreneurial skills and transnational networking.  It is expected the establishmment of a network of young people, entrepreneurs, partners and other stakeholders in order to build long-term relationships among them for future cooperation.

9. To make young people aware of their competences and how to upgrade their skills through mobility, intercultural and entrepreneurship activities.

10. To improve foreign language competency;

11- To share common values of the European Union.

Target Groups: Unemployed young people, recent graduates, students, young

leaders, young people with fewer opportunities.

Vicenza

The first training under the Empowering Youth Potential project took place from 18 to 22 April 2016 in Vicenza, Italy. The focus of the training was recognize the entrepreneurship, learning entrepreneurial skills, competencies. During the training the participants was used for the first time the competency measurement tool developed as part of the project. After completing the test, the participants were given individual feedback.

As part of the training, the participants visited a small working 110 years grappa destillery, as well as the world-renowned Murano a small craft glassblower factory.
